Mobile Device Center Beta after Windows Update

I installed the update and now I get an error on system startup that says "wmdsync.exe unable to locate component. This application has faild to start because RAPI.DLL was not found." I have read posts related to my problem but see no answer at this time. I am unable to uninstall the update and try again. I also cannot find RAPI.DLL to download as a seperate file. HELP!!!!!

Ted, Even i am facing the ditto problem. if that is not enough my media center is also crashing every time i try to start it. :-( -- harsh vardhan bhotika

I was finally able to get to the point where I can re-install the WMC update but have only been able to get it to the point of installation at which time it has just been hanging like many of the other posts I have been reading. I finally just let the WMC update run over night and what happened was I got up and there was a message that the USB drivers were not successfully updated. It appears that is where the problem lies for the hang on the update (at least in my case). Microsfot team, if you are listening, how about some input here). Or an update would be nice. Hardware issues should be a snap to fix. Come on boys and girls.

It seems that yours is an exactly mirror image of my problem. My O2 XDA IIs has developed some hardware issues and does get hard reset on its own on an average of once a month and now without the wmdc to sync with the pc , i might loose important information. it could mean a loss of business to me -- harsh vardhan bhotika
